Cristiano Ronaldo to play in No 9 role

Cristiano Ronaldo to play in No 9 role for Rafael Benitez's Real Madrid as trident with Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema is ditched

Cristiano Ronaldo will play in the No 9 position under Rafael Benitez at Real Madrid next season, with the famous 'BBC' with Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale consigned to history.
According to Friday's edition of AS, the new Real manager will favour a 4-2-3-1 formation with Ronaldo as the spearhead.
The Portuguese, who scored an astonishing 61 goals in all competitions this season, will presumably be expected to score even more playing as a centre forward.
